? ERPS are software systems designed to support and automate the business processes of medium-sized and large enterprises.

? ERPS are accounting-orientated information systems which aid in identifying & planning the enterprise-wide resources.

? ERPS also aid the flow of information between all business functions within an organisation, as well as managing connections to outside stakeholders.

? Advantages of ERPS

① Increase flexibility and efficiency of production

② Improve control of cash flow

? Disadvantages of ERPS

① Cost, implementation time

② Problem with one function can affect all the other functions.

③ Switching costs may be high

④ The blurring of boundaries cause accountability problems
